MPES Fourth Grade

Beth Eastep

I was born and raised in Columbia, Tennessee. I graduated from Columbia Central High School. I love learning and to prove it I have an AS in Business from CSCC, a BBA in Marketing with an emphasis in Advertising from Memphis State University, A BS in Elementary Education (K-8) from MTSU, and a Master's in Reading and Literacy from Marygrove College. I have taught in the Maury County School system since 1999. I have taught 3rdgrade all of these years except one year of 2nd grade. Teaching is not just a job for me, but a passion and ministry.

My personal world looks like this. I am happily married to Scotty Eastep. I have three daughters, Rieves, Lila, and Logan. I have one son, Philip. We live in Mount Pleasant. I spend my time doing things with my family, helping others through my church, Destiny Church, and many other organizations such as the Pregnancy Center, Stuff the Bus Campaign, and our local schools. I love to read, and the beach is my HaPpY place. Most kids know me by the ladybugs that decorate my classroom! I love people and smiling is a must!

I believe that education is the foundation to a better future. It is my hope that I can instill a love of learning in children and help them realize the possibilities that await them.

I graduated from MTSU in 2007 with my degree in Elementary Education. In 2013, I received my Master's degree from Arkansas State University. I graduated with an Educational Specialist degree in 2018.

I live in Mt. Pleasant with my husband Chris. We have two children, Evan and Amber. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and word games.

Neil King

I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1999. I began working at Mt. Pleasant Elementary in 2000. I’ve spent my career teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two girls, son in law, grandson, and granddaughter. I also enjoy Tennessee Football, St. Louis Cardinals, and spending time outside.

Angela Knight

I began teaching at Mt. Pleasant Elementary in 1999. I have taught first, second, and fourth grades.  My higher education began at Walker College in Jasper, AL where I received my Associate in Science degree. Next, I attended The University of Mississippi to complete my Bachelor of Arts in Education degree. After teaching at MPES for a few years, I returned to college at MTSU to seek a Master’s in Education degree. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and chose to, once again, return to a college classroom in 2012. I completed the Education Specialist’s Degree program at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 2014.

I live in Lawrenceburg, TN.  In my spare time, I enjoy camping and spending time with my two dogs.
