Connie Deavers, CDC

I started my teaching career in 1990 as a Special Education Teacher. I have worked at Mt. Pleasant Elementary and Marvin Wright Elementary in Spring Hill. I spent many years working at King’s Daughters School before I started teaching. When I’m not working, I enjoy time at home with my daughter and my dogs.

I started working at MPES in 2013 in the Special Education Department/CDC classroom. When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, playing basketball, and attending sporting events.

I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Dance and completed the teacher certification program at Chapman University in Sacramento, CA. I received my Special Education Certification at Middle Tennessee State University. I look forward to another wonderful year at MPES and the opportunity to grow and learn with the students, teachers, and parents!
I moved to Spring Hill in 2006 from Northern California. I live in Spring Hill, TN with my husband and son. I look forward to running the MPES Theatre Club every year!

I have been with Mt. Pleasant Elementary as a Special Education Assistant since 2003. I enjoy working with the students, faculty and staff at Mt. Pleasant Elementary.
Kandysue Savage, Speech

I am a Speech Pathologist proving speech and language services to students at MPES. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from MTSU and a Master’s Degree from TSU. I am a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, the Tennessee Association of Audiologists and Speech Pathologists, the Tennessee Education Association and the Tennessee Association of Assistive Technology. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, traveling and gardening.

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist providing services to the students at Mount Pleasant. I have a Bachelors Degree from Freed-Hardeman University and a Masters Degree from Alabama A&M. I am a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). My hobbies include spending time with my family, traveling and reading.

I am a deaf education teacher (special education teacher). My office and home school is located at Woodard Elementary School. I travel to Culleoka Unit School, Santa Fe Unit School, Witthorne Middle School and Central High School for consultation. I am available at M.P.E.S. from 9:30 till 12:30.
