Cyndy Henke

I have been a teacher at MPES since 2009 and in Maury County since 2004.  Prior to moving to Tennessee I taught in Sarasota County Florida, which is also where I attended and graduated from the University of South Florida/Sarasota.  I recently completed my Master's degree and am eager to use some of my learnings in my upcoming classroom.  I am the parent of three, Alexis (MTSU) who lives and works in Denver; Kali (Martin Methodist) who is living and working in Nashville; and Mikael who will be attending APSU in the fall.  I am also the pet parent to two dogs, one cat, and two horses.  I cannot wait to meet my new class and help lead them to love learning as much as I love to teach and learn!

Brooke Lovett

At a very young age I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I guess you can say teaching runs in my blood.

After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School in 2000 I attended Columbia State Community College and I later transferred to Martin Methodist in Pulaski, Tennessee. I graduated from Martin Methodist in May 2005. After graduation I returned home to my beloved alma matter and began teaching Kindergarten, over the next seven years I began to fall in love with teaching reading and writing. I am a huge supporter of Daily Five and Writing across the curriculum. Next, I moved on to teach First and Second grades. I have always loved being in the classroom, there is nowhere else I’d rather be. I began teaching in 2005.

My dream is to continue to share my love of education and learning with young people. When I’m not teaching school I enjoy spending time with my husband Blake and our two wonderful daughters Ansley and Taylor. We currently live in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and on the weekends we enjoy playing outside, swimming, and going to ballgames.

I am originally from Clio, Michigan. I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 2011 and later to Mt. Pleasant in 2012, when I met my now husband, Josh Kelley. I graduated from MTSU in December of 2016 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. I have been a teacher at MPES since October of 2017. I love being at MPES and in the classroom. My husband and I have three beautiful daughters; Evelyn, Charlotte, and Nora. In our free time we love to be outdoors playing, swimming, having cook outs, and sitting around the fire.
